Mac.Rob is an academically-focused institution in Melbourne, providing non-zoned select entry upper secondary education for female students. Our work involved the upgrade and modernisation of the school's key learning and study spaces.

Primarily focused on additional teaching and learning spaces, a key project driver was enabling future growth for more female students to attend the school. The VSBA is seeking to achieve gender balance with the boys-only Melbourne High School, which currently has greater capacity for student enrolments.

The scope of works included a library upgrade on the ground floor of the South Wing Lakeside Building. JCB reimagined what a 21st century school library can be, as well as introducing new learning bases, landscaping works for respite, retreat, social zones and indoor-outdoor teaching and learning opportunities, new VCE common room space to the adjacent West Wing Lakeside Building, building access upgrades and spaces that support larger groups.
